Jenny has a Master’s degree in Special Education, and over the past 37 years, she has worked in a variety of educational roles, including as a classroom teacher at the elementary, middle and secondary school levels, Learning Assistance and Special Education Coordinator, K-12 administrator, and SCSBC Director of Educational Support Services and Safe School Coordinator. She has been trained in threat and trauma response and critical incident response, and she wrote the SCSBC Emergency Response Handbook. Jenny is also on various emergency-related provincial groups, including the Lower Mainland Safe Schools Network, the Ministry of Education Safe School Coordinator Resource Working Group, the Child Abuse Educator’s Network, and the Ministry of Education Emergency Preparedness Working Group.
Jenny has supported schools in emergency and crisis response for the past 5 years and is passionate about preparing schools to navigate crises well and supporting administrators during crises.
