Name
Christian Learning Communities, Student Vocation, and Assessment of School Outcomes
David Smith
Description

Students’ vocations are not primarily a matter of their future work. The most basic layer of vocation for a Christian is the call to love God and neighbor, regardless of their station in life. For students, the arena in which this is to be worked out is their present calling as students. This session will draw from research on a new assessment tool, the Practicing Faith Survey, to paint a picture of student vocation and explore how it might relate to assessing a Christian school’s impact on its students.
