Julia has been planning and leading chapels at VCS for the past 7 years and also enjoys teaching English 10 and 12 and supporting others as English Dept Head.
Her growing conviction is that teachers teach FOR transformation to the degree that they teach FROM transformation. Julia leans on the long traditions of spiritual disciplines and searches for ways that they might be tailored to the life of an educator. She has been influenced by Parker Palmer, James K.A. Smith and Mary Oliver, among others, and is trying to find ways to weave some of their best ideas together to imagine ways of thriving as a Christian educator.
