When we seek to regulate student emotions and behaviour, develop student empathy, or create student engagement, responses are ultimately shaped by the student brain. When we seek to create change through our pedagogy, our discipline, and our language, our success is determined by how we shape the student brain. Part 1 of this workshop will be a theoretical dive into the link between brain development and restorative justice, and how leading relationally is critical for the development of our students.
