This session will examine the key role of school administrators as the keeper of school culture. School culture is sometimes overlooked amongst the many responsibilities of a school administrator. By the end of this session you will: 1)Have knowledge of practical examples for establishing and maintaining a positive school culture for each of teachers, students, and parents. 2) Use Jon Saphier's 12 Norms of School Culture as a lens to examining your own school's culture. 3)Acknowledge the attributes of positive school culture in your own setting and commit to ways that you can influence your school culture in a positive way.
