Jenny Sanders is Cree-Metis- Irish from Northern Alberta, Swan River Band, Treaty 8. She has been living and teaching in the lower mainland for 18 years. Currently she teaches Grade 5 at Richmond Christian School and is pursuing a Diploma of Indigenous Studies from Vancouver School of Theology. Her desire is to help bridge crevices between Indigenous and non-indigenous people, helping to bring understanding and reconciliation, especially in the Christian school setting. Personally, she is striving to reclaim her Indigenous culture and bring it together with her faith in Jesus in a good way. Jenny is wife to Sean and mother to Lily (Grade 8) and Kyren (Grade 4).
