Derrick has spent the last 33 years across three provinces in various educational institutions, with the last nine years in BC. Twenty of those years he has spent as a senior administrator in K – 12 schools: Principal, Assistant HOS, & HOS. He has worked with SCSBC when serving as the high school principal at Richmond Christian School. He has worked in public and other independent schools in BC and Alberta. He currently serves as the Associate Dean of Leadership at TWU, GLOBAL. He teaches in the MA Leadership & MA Educational Leadership degree programs.
He teaches course for school administrators and those aspiring to become one.

He is passionate about missions and has organized and led over twenty high school teams globally. He has been married for 34 years and has one son, who is currently attending TWU.
