Abbotsford Christian Secondary School is hosting a Model UN Conference in the Spring of 2023. We would like to invite other Christian Schools to attend our first annual event at the newly renovated Abbotsford Christian School secondary campus. Bring your Social Studies class, or form a Model UN Team and join us for this free event! Come to this session to sign up and to learn all about the conference and how to run a Model UN simulation in your school or classroom. At its core, Model United Nations is an educational simulation of the UN’s numerous bodies, assemblies, councils, and agencies. Students attending the conference (delegates) represent a given country or position in a committee and debate said committee’s topics over the two days of the conference to address and solve the issue at hand. Each session of the ACSS invitational MUN would feature a different, unique set of committees and topics. This conference is designed for beginner delegates with no previous experience necessary. It would be a great fit for any interested students from grades 9-12. This would be an excellent activity for a MUN team, debate team, Social Studies class, AP class or even just a group of interested students.
