Description

Successful transformation of 21 st century pedagogy for Christian schools may rest upon having examples of best practices from which to draw. Commitments to environmentalism, Indigeneity, student involvement, civic engagement, outreach, technology integration, governance models, and community building in Christian schools matter greatly to today’s Christian teacher. In our research, we explore these relevant themes by focusing on several Christian schools from across Canada and their creative and engaging practices. The research seeks a deeper analysis of today’s Christian K – 12 education through these case studies. Part 1 of the presentation gives an overview of the schools visited and includes small group discussions on some of the best practices that may be of relevance to other schools In Part 2, the remaining school cases are explored and small group discussions are engaged to leverage local application.
